3rd May

Sunday morning I did the house dogs and then put Kiro away and let the lab group out with their food.
Dave cleaned up in the garden and bottom block while I went down to the kennel.
I let all of the bitches out that have puppies and fed and cleaned the puppies out and left the food ready for the bitches coming back in.
Dave sorted out some more bits up at the top gate and put another panel in next to the new gate.
Razzles group went out in the field and Budds group in the drive, I cleaned them out and fed them.
The yorkies went out next in the drive and Siren and Narla out in the field.
After they were cleaned Coosa’s group went out and then Cito and Shone went out in the field and the house dogs went out in the garden and the bottom yard.
I cleaned Coosa’s kennel right out and dusted all of the top walls and beams, I disinfected it and then washed the hall way and towel dried it all.
I hoovered all of the office area ready for people coming.
I did the fire while Dave picked up in the drive.
I got the meat for the next day out of the freezer and took it up to the kennel.
Dave sorted out a few things in the office and then he went home.
John came to pick up his dog I had been looking after for a week while they were away.
I had two lots of people booked in to see puppies so this took a couple of hours.
After they had left I fed everyone and left Coosa’s group out in the field with their bones.
While Budds group were out I went out and cleaned ears before they came back in.
I put the bitches out next so I could get pictures of the puppies quickly before the girls wanted to come back in.
I did the evening feeds and then let the labs out in the drive, I cleaned their kennel and yard.
I had puppy owners want to view their puppy so I fed everyone and then the people arrived so I put the labs away.
After the people had left I brought Coosa and Narla’s group in and fed them.
It was now 9 pm so time to get the house dogs in, dinner and bath and that is nearly the end of the day.
Monday morning house dogs out Kiro in and the labs out and fed.
I did all of the kennel dogs and Coosa’s group were out in the field, Shone and Cito went out in the other field.
I stripped out one of the big kennels and then my last puppy owner arrived to pick up their pup, after they left this meant my pup I had kept was now on her own so I brought the Schnauzer girls that are both in season back up to the kennel and put them with her, they are both gentle and good with her which is great as she is only 12 weeks old.
All the hybrids were out in the field and the little dogs were out in the drive and the front pen, I wanted to get everyone out for as long as possible in the morning as it looked like it was going to rain.
I cut up the chicken and then did the lunch time feeds.
I wormed the puppies and then cleaned Rupert’s ears.
I had a constant stream of washing to get though.
We did have quite a bit of rain on and off all afternoon so dogs were out each time the rain stopped.
I did the evening feeds and then let the labs out on the drive and cleaned their yard.
I put my dinner on to cook and then fed the labs and took them back to their kennel.
I let the house poodles out in the drive and cleaned the bottom block.
The house dogs came back in for food and Cito and Shone came in.
I fed everyone and then brought Coosa’s group back down and fed them.
Everyone was fed and happy with treat ready for bed.
Kiro and Reo went out for the night.
Tuesday Morning looked ok and then we had a big shower that got quite heavy so the house dogs went out in the bottom block and I got their feeds ready and cleaned the poodle’s room ready for them to go back into.
I let the lab group out and fed them and then went to the kennels.
I let the bitches out and fed the puppies and then cleaned their kennels and brought the bitches back in for food.
Razzle’s group went out in the field and Budds group out on the drive, I cleaned their kennels and then fed them inside as it looked like it was going to rain fairly heavily.
After everyone was fed and cleaned out I put Coosa’s group out in the field and then Cito and Shone out in field one.
I spent the next two hours playing with drains, anyway I have decided drains are not my thing, Dyno rod are booked for Thursday morning.
I got the fire done and then the meat delivery arrived so I cut it all up ready for lunch time feeding.
I soaked the puppy food.
House dogs all fed and then the kennel dogs all done.
I sorted out some adverts and phone calls.
I had a DNA to do on a litter so I got all that done and then went to the post office and posted the samples off.
I had some paper work issues to sort out with the kennel club as my poodle boy was registered as a girl and my puppy paper work has not come through yet.
I made a few more calls and then did the evening feeds before hosing down yards.
I fed everyone and then had dinner and brought Coosa’s group in and fed them.
Kiro and Reo out and the house dogs in for the night.
Wednesday morning was an early start as I was moving the lab group up to the top kennel which meant another kennel to strip right out and clean.
I did the house dogs and the lab group and moved them.
I put Kiro away and then let out and fed and cleaned the kennel dogs.
Coosa’s group in one field and Cito and Shone in the other.
Everyone done and vet beds from the puppies all changed.
I popped in to town quickly while the gates were open ready for the meat to arrive.
When I got home I sorted out the meat and then people arrived to view their puppy.
We had a chat and went through feeding and training and then they left so I locked up the gates and then let another group of dogs out and fed them.
Back home, swapped over dogs and then Kate and Kirsty came around, After Kirsty left Kate gave me a hand to sort out dogs and get some pictures and then feed everyone before I went of to training with Shiraz.
We had a really good night the puppies were given their certificates for the term and then Shiraz did her class I was really pleased with her she worked well.
After the gold class we came home and checked the puppies and brought Coosa’s group in and fed them.
I had half an hour with the house dogs and then bed.
Thursday morning I did the house dogs and then up to the top kennel area for the lab group, I let them out and fed them and then cleaned and dried their kennel and left them out in the back run.
The rain was so heavy I stayed up in the top kennel area finding a few odd jobs to do or I would have been soaked to the skin by the time I reached the house.
I went out and put Kiro and Reo in for the day and went up to the kennel and let the bitches out in the front yard and drive and then Razzle’s group out in the field.
I finished off the last few kennels and then Dyno rod called to say they would be 40 minutes so I had breakfast and put the house dogs out in the yard and Cito and Shone out in the field.
When the guy arrived I explained the problem and he flushed the pipes and then put cameras through the pipes to see the problem.
Anyway an hour and a half later it was all sorted thankfully.
After he left I had two food deliveries of carcasses and dry food.
I locked up the gates and let dogs out while I sorted everything out and cut up 50 kilos of chicken.
I did the lunch time feeds and then let Coosa’s group back out after feeding.
I made a couple of calls and then hoovered the office area and washed the floors in the wet room and the grooming room.
I wrote out the list for Hannah of the dogs to groom tomorrow.
While the dogs were sleeping I let the yorkies out and wrote the blog as I was a couple of days behind.
I let the lab group out in the field and cleaned up the pen where they were as they can now use Coosa’s back pen or the side pen so I have three different places they can go now.
Disinfected and hosed all three of outside pens in the top block and then fed the pups and started feeding anyone else, after all the feeding was done and the bitches went back out while I got Coosa’s group in and fed them.
I locked up the kennel and picked up in the drive before letting Kiro and Reo out for the night.
Friday morning was a damp start with the odd shower.
I did the house dogs and then Kiro and Reo in.
The labs were next to let out and feed.
Hannah arrived to groom the little dogs.
I did the kennel dogs and then the meat delivery arrived so I put most of it away and kept the chicken out.
The labs went out in the field, Coosa’s group in the field and Cito and Shone out in the garden.

The meat delivery arrived so I cut up 20 kilos of chicken, and then a lady arrived to see the labradoodles as she would like a puppy in the summer.
After they left I locked up the gates and left the dogs out on the drive.
I fed everyone and then went in the house for coffee with Hannah, while Hannah had her lunch I got my dinner ready and put it in the oven on a slow cook.
The afternoon was quiet no visitors so I hoovered the house and cleaned the puppy room and washed the floor and re papered for the night time.
I took some pictures of pups and then got the evening feeds ready.
I went up and put the lab group in and brushed Coosa’s group just a quick brush over for everyone as their coats are starting to come out more now.
I brought Siren and Narla in for an hour as they had been out for 5 hours and I like them to come in for a while and then go back out.
I brought the labs in and fed them and then got everyone else in and put Siren and Narla back out for an hour.
Coosa’s group came in and had food and then the house dogs came in and Kiro and Reo went out.
Saturday morning was a wet start the house dogs went out and then the lab group went in the back pen with food, I cleaned and dried their pen while they were out.
Kiro and Reo went into their kennel with food for the day.
I put the house dogs in with food and then went up to the kennel and let the bitches out the front and the next group out of the back into field.
Everyone was fed and cleaned out and back in.
I picked up in the drive and got the gates open ready for people arriving.
I did the fire and let the labs out into the field and cleaned the back pen ready for Coosa’s group to go in for food at lunch time.
I was just cleaning the bottom block when a customer arrived early to view Enya’s pups.
I needed to get some pictures of Chili before the rain so I put the girls away and had chili in the yard and got some nice pictures of him.
I went and put Cito and Shone in the bottom block and the lab group away.
Coosa’s group went into the back pen as the rain was fine but constant the dogs were getting really wet so they had early food and stayed in the dry for a couple of hours.
I fed everyone there lunch time chicken and then got the chicken out of the freezer for the next day.
I spent some time going through the web site and sent Jaq some pictures to change and add the red poodles.
I took some more puppy pictures and then spent some time with Peaches.
Most of the afternoon will be paper work and things inside the kennel I had no desire to go out and get soaked for the sake of it.
While each group was out I hoovered their kennels as the dust is building up again, thank god for Henry.
The rain was not letting up so I left Coosa’s group out and went shopping and then met Kirsty, Jess and Josh for a coffee.
I got home and the rain had eased up a bit so I let Narla and Siren out and the yorkies in the drive.
I got the evening feeds ready and fed the lab group first, they went out in the field for a run and then the kennel dogs were all fed.
I fed the house dogs and cleaned two yards and then brought Narla and Siren in.
Coosa’s group came in and had food.
Kiro and Reo went out on the drive for the night with their food.
