DEPOSITS NOW BEING TAKEN FOR THE NEXT HYBRID LITTER
Please contact me as soon as possible we are only mating the bitch if we have enough homes lined up ready for the pups.
Sunday morning was dry so I put all of the top groups out and did a quick clean on their pens.
Some of them came back in for food and Shone’s group had their food out in the field, Moon stayed out with his food and I came down and put the house dogs out and did the feeds for the rest of the dogs.
The house dogs came in and we put Budd and Yazmin out with their food while we fed the puppies and the bitches.
After they were all fed we went round and cleaned them all out and changed water buckets.
Next out were the poodle groups and the doodle group, we fed them and cleaned them out.
We took all of the rubbish up to the top and then cleaned the house pens and re papered them ready for the evening.
Back up to the top and cleaned Idaho and brought Moon in and Shone’s group for their bones.
Kiro and Reo’s groups out and we cleaned their pens, they stayed out while we cleaned Coosa’s pen and Shone’s pen, and we burnt the rubbish.
We came down and took pictures of the puppies and microchipped them, I had to stop twice as Moon was howling so Maddie put him in my van, then Coosa started so I had to go up and stop him from making a noise.
Finally we finished with the pups.
We did the lunchtime feeds for the pups and then brought Kiro in as she was making a racket, so Coosa’s group went out and Reo while we cleaned the bottom yards.
I left Maddie to sweep the last bit while I went on the computer for a while ordering food and downloaded the pictures and emailed them to Jacqui.
We cleaned the bottom block and the yard.
We took apart a whelping box and cleaned it, the frustration started when we tried to put it back together; it took over half an hour, oh my god how stressful was that.
Maddie left and I cut up the chicken for the little dogs and fed them and the house dogs.
I got the frozen feeds ready for the next day, I tried to put Budd back with the poodles but one of them has not quite finished her season and as she is only 14 months I don’t want her mated.
For now he is with one bitch that is due to have puppies.
I cleaned the bottom two yards and then rushed off to Sainsbury’s to get some minced beef, lamb and fish for kia.
When I got home I cooked the beef for dinner for Kia.
I had a little time to go out in the field and take pictures of Shone’s group.
Coosa is lame I am sure he has an abscess in his foot, not that he is keen on me touching his feet, I have to make it into a game.
I swapped over dogs in the field and fed the puppies and cleaned them out.
I brought the last groups in and locked everyone up and came down with Shone and Narla they had their food and then came in for the evening.
Monday morning the dogs got up in the dark so I let out Reo and Kiro’s group.
I cleaned their kennels as I was not sure what the weather was going to do, they came in and Coosa’s group went out and Shone’s group who had their food in the field.
After I had fed Kiro and Reo I brought Coosa in and let them with their food in the outside pen, Moon went out and had his food outside.
I came down and let the house dogs out and did their feeds and the puppies feeds.
I fed Kia who was happy to eat Royal canin mousse.
Next I fed the two labs and then Amy arrived so we fed the puppies and cleaned them out and then on to the doodle and poodle groups.
After they were all finished we went up to the top and cleaned Idaho’s pen.
We took the straw and shavings out from pen 1 and 4 and I cleaned them out and left Amy to dry them while I came down and washed bowls and did the washing.
Amy then cleaned the bottom block and the labs pen while I sorted out emails and phone calls. I had two people booked in for the afternoon to see puppies; I knew I was going to be finished late.
Hannah was here grooming, we had hoped to bath Kia but she could not stand up that long so we gave her a brush and then blasted her, we used a dry power shampoo and then blasted it out of her coat, not quite the same as bathing her but she smelt better and her coat was fluffy.
We did the lunchtime feeds and then went up and burnt the rubbish.
Amy did the field water and cleaned the outside pen ready for shone’s group to come back in.

I cut all the chicken carcasses and then I fed all of the dogs, Amy left and then a big chicken delivery arrived so I got the frozen feeds done for the next morning and unpacked all of the food.
I cleaned the yards and a customer arrived to see puppies, she bought the pup and took it straight home.
I swapped dogs in the field and then then next customer arrived, they had a puppy and were leaving it to pick up the next morning.
I fed the puppies and the bitches, changed water.
I put all of the dogs in and left Shone and Narla with their food down in the bottom block as I was not sure if it would rain.
Kia and I went down to the new kennel to clean the floor and see how well the water ran to the drain.
I came back to the house at just after 8 pm had dinner and brought Shone and Narla in.
Tuesday morning I woke up and it was raining, not a great start to the day it was still dark.
The first two groups went out and I cleaned their pen, they came in for food and then Coosa went out and Shone’s group.
I cleaned Coosa’s pen and then brought them in to their outside pen and fed them.
Moon went out and had the hatch open so he could get in if it rained.
Shone’s group came back in to their night kennel with their food.
I came down and did the feeds for the house dogs and pups.
Amy arrived and we fed the bitches and pups and cleaned them out, next we did poodle and doodle groups fed and cleaned.
We cleaned Idaho and I put Shone’s group out.
I went to pick up more shavings as we are using tons of them at the moment.
Amy cleaned pen 1 and 4, I got back before she had finished and just in time for a delivery.
The lady came and picked up her puppy.
I had the steel fabricator here checking the drain and measuring for the bar to go up on the windows in the new kennel, one for security and two so the dogs can’t eat the new sills that are going to be put on.
I had another couple here viewing dogs; I didn’t expect them to buy as they had been trawling around breeders for weeks.
Amy cleaned the house dog’s pens while I was with the people.
I had another family want to come at 4.30 what a crap time, but anyway I had chance to get in front as I thought they may be here for a while.
Amy cleaned the labs pen while I got the puppy feeds ready, after the pups were fed Amy cleaned the bottom yard and did some odd jobs.
I did the frozen feeds and then fed the little dogs.
I cleaned the floors in the house while the little dogs were outside.
I had some things to sort out with Nathan about the lights in the new kennels.
I gave Kia another feed and then cleaned the bottom block as it was greasy after the little dogs had eaten.
Amy left and I cleaned Coosas outside pen and towel dried it as it was really dirty, I locked them out in the field for a while.
I then cleaned Shone’s outside pen while they were out.
I came down and made the puppies feeds and left them in the oven ready for when the visitors had left.
I put all of the little dogs away and cleaned the yards, the people arrived to see the pups, and they finally left at 6pm so all I had left to do was fed the pups and get the two groups in from the field and bring Shone and Narla down.
I did the insurances for pups that had just gone and had dinner and fed Kia again then spent some time with the house dogs before bed.
Wednesday morning the dogs got me up at 5.30 it was pitch black but I knew I had a really busy day so I let the first two groups out and gave them biscuit and cleaned their pens, they came in and the next two groups went out while I cleaned their pens, I needed to get as much done as possible so I could take my poodle to the vets to be spayed and Kia needed a check-up.
I cleaned Idaho and then fed Moon in the field, Coosa came in for food and Shone’s group came back in to have their Lamb as I need to get shone fed most of her food early so she doesn’t get as sick on the way to training.
I got a text from Maddie to say she was ill.
I left the next two pens to dry later as I needed to get the puppies fed early and then cancel the vets.
After I had fed all the pups and the house dogs and the other four groups I phoned Kate and arranged for her to take the poodle to the vets the next day, I will take Kia when I can next arrange it.
I went up and burnt all of the rubbish and dried the pens.
I put Coosa out and left them with their chicken and bones, I came down and put the house dogs out and washed the bowls.
I had to quickly go up to the new kennel to see Micky and then I did a puppy check and spent an hour on the computer, thankfully the dogs were quiet.
I cooked some more food for Kia and made a smiley face in her minced heart and left it to cool down on the side, and then cleaned the house dog’s pens ready for the evening.
I fed all of the puppies and then cut up the chicken for the house dogs and little dogs ready to feed later.
I got the frozen feeds ready and then loaded my van with food for my sister.
I got two cages ready for Shone for training.
I cleaned the bottom block and then had a quick bath I had just washed my hair and the dogs started howling so great off up to the field wearing a towel to shut them up.
As I rushed through the kitchen to go up to the field I was sure there was a lot less food on the plate for kia and no smiley face, when I came back down I then found the reason why the food had disappeared Rosie the yorkie was sat on the work top happily eating the minced heart, I was not happy so I have moved the feed bin and hopefully now she can’t get up there anymore.
I wasn’t sure if Kia didn’t like the heart or if it was because one of the dogs had eaten out of her bowl, so I cooked her another packet but no she didn’t want it so I gave her some cut up cubes of cheese and she liked that.
I swapped over dogs in the field and then came back and cooked some shredded chicken so Kia had another meal prepared for when I got home after training, this time I left it in the microwave to cool down.
I gave Coosa a brush and spend a short time with them as I was going to be locking them in to leave for training.
I put each group in and cleaned their yards, then I fed the puppies and gave them a quick clean out.
I locked up the dogs at the top kennel and came down to get changed; Kate had just arrived a bit early as Shane drops her off on his way to Barnstaple and then he picks her up just after I get home.
I loaded Shone into the van and off we went, we had to do another detour as the traffic was really bad but I did get there in plenty of time this week.
I had a full class and another new lady with a little cockapoo female.
My class did really well they are coming on great.
I took Shone for a quick toilet stop before I went into the next class, there were not so many of us this week as bitches were in season and people were away.
We started with some heel work and then out for a road walk, we met three tractors in the space of two minutes, after the walk we did the controlled getting in and out of the vehicle.
Everything Shone did was near perfect, I think she prefers the smaller classes, you could not fault her I was so pleased.
After we had finished I put her back in the van and wrote notes from the class and planned the following week’s lesson.
I watched the gold class and helped out then we cleaned the hall and tidied up.
I got home just after 10 pm and had a coffee with Kate before she left.
I did the feeds for the next morning and then sat with Kia for a while, I was about to go to bed but Kia was not good so I stayed up with her for another couple of hours.
Thursday morning I didn’t wake up quite as early as I was really tired.
I put the first two groups of dogs out and then came down to the house to let the house dogs out and get the feeds done for the puppies, 7.30 came and no Maddie, this was not unusual as she is often late, by 8 am I worked out she was not coming in, I fed all of the puppies and cleaned them out and then let the poodle and doodle groups out and cleaned the out.
I went back up to the top and cleaned the rest of the kennels out and burnt the rubbish.
Kate came over and picked up Bon and took her to the vets to be spayed.
I cleaned the bottom yard and then cleaned the house pens.
Lunchtime feeds came round really quickly, I fed all of the puppies and re cleaned them.
I swapped groups and then cleaned the rest of the bottom yards.
Kate arrived back with Bon and dropped her off so she could go and sort her own dogs out.
I fed Kia she had sliced chicken and yoghurt.
I cut the chicken up for the little dogs and fed everyone as it looked like rain and I didn’t want them all getting wet.
I had a group of people come to view hybrids they were only here for a short while, so I had all of the wolf dogs in outside pens ready for them to see.
All of the little dogs were locked in so there was not too much noise.
After they left I put two groups of dogs out and cleaned Shone’s pen ready for them coming back in.
I had all the kennels ready for the dogs to come in as it looked like it may rain.
I did the frozen feeds for the next morning and then topped up all of the shavings bins and put towels everywhere for the morning.
I spent a short while on the computer and then brought all the dogs in and fed the puppies.
Narla and Shone came down to the house and had food.
Friday morning I was on my own again, I put the top groups out and fed them I cleaned two kennels and then came down and put the house dogs out and fed the puppies.
I cleaned all of the puppies out and then did the poodle and doodle groups, all fed and cleaned.
I went back up and cleaned out Idaho and the last two kennels, I burnt the rubbish and picked up the bones in Coosa’s field and changed water buckets.
I then had a meat delivery of bones and chicken carcasses; I unpacked that and did the frozen feeds up ready for the morning.
I did a couple of adverts on the internet and got the puppy packs and paper work ready for the pups leaving on Saturday morning.
I cut up the chicken ready for the little dog’s lunch.
Pups all fed and cleaned again I put new shavings in ready for the morning.
I then power washed the bottom yard.
I fed the little dogs and then disinfected the bottom block.
Shone’s group went out so I cleaned their pen ready for them to come back into.
At the moment we are only having five groups go out in the field so they are able to stay out for a longer time, next week when Moon leaves we will only have four groups so that will make things easier.
I washed the rest of the yards as it clearly looked like the heavens were going to open up.
I got everyone in and made another rush to Sainsbury’s and picked up some more food for Kia, I got some more yoghurt and then saw some of that paper thin sliced chicken so I got a pack of that and a nice duck breast, I sliced the duck as thinly as possible and she ate the whole breast which made my day.
Saturday morning I put two groups out in the field in the dark and fed them, I cleaned the shavings out of their pens and went down to the house to let the house dogs out, back up to let the two groups in and the next two groups out with their food.
I came down and got the feeds ready for the house dogs and the bitches and puppies.
I fed the house dogs and kia, Amy arrived and we fed the puppies and cleaned them out.
We did the poodle and doodle groups and then up to the top to clean the four kennels and Idaho.
After we had finished them Amy did the house dogs pens while I swept up the dogs hair in the lounge and got the paper work out ready for the pups leaving.
I had two pups leave and three people viewing, one bought a pup and the other two were total time wasters.
After they had gone we cleaned the bottom block and the labs day pen.
Amy fed the puppies and re cleaned them while I was with a customer.
I left Amy doing some odd jobs while I went to get some more food for Kia, when I got home Amy left and I cut up the chicken and fed the little dogs.
I did the frozen feeds and cleaned Razzles yard.
I then had some time on the phone sorting out a puppy that the owner wants shipped to Italy.
I had another puppy viewer then I cleaned all the yards and the wolf dogs outside pens.
Everyone came in and Shone and Narla went in the bottom block with their food while I fed and cleaned out the puppies.
I wrote the blog while dinner was cooking and then spent the evening with the house dogs.
